My interest in nixie-tubes started around 2014 when I stumbled upon a project with these fascinating glowing tubes Soon after I started acquiring some of them to tinker with them. Quickly I discovered that there are many different types originating from countless applications back in past times. Around 2016 I started to build a collection of these tubes and documented their pictures online for informational purposes. As of 2022, the collection has grown to over 300 different tubes and I managed to acquire some extremely rare or even unknown tubes as well as the rather common types. As with all collectibles, it became more difficult to find missing or undiscovered items the more my collection grew.
